About Cindy

I started teaching in 2014 after completing my Diploma in Child Learning Difficulties and Child Psychology in Singapore. I joined a private therapy centre which uses the Verbal-ABA technique to intervene the children. During those time, I volunteered to teach some children with special needs in the Sunday School of my church. After teaching in the private centre, I moved to teach some of the special needs children at an inclusive school, discussing their issues with their classroom teachers and providing the necessary strategies to be implemented in the classroom. I also had the opportunity to work with some children directly at their homes, consulting with the parents on their children’s needs. I am very thankful that I have had the opportunity to take the RDI course as it has helped me to understand better the needs from both sides, the parents and children.

Currently, I am teaching at an Early Intervention Centre as a teacher. Within this role, I have had the opportunity to teach the children and set their individual goals depending on their needs and parents’ concerns. I am glad that I can contribute in building up a strong foundation to each of the children that I am working with and to also give reliable information to their parents. During my free time, I enjoy walking in the park and reading some books at the cafe.
