Genevieve Chua, MA Pshycology

Working with families in order to guide a child to reach his fullest potential has been a long held belief of mine. Children’s Partnership was set up in 2005 with the intent of working together with families. Over the years, it has been a privilege to work with each and every family as we work towards guiding each child in their journey through life.

From a professional standpoint, I graduated from Murdoch University with a degree in Psychology. I worked in a special school, where I got to learn about the gifts of each child I taught as I guided them through dance, swimming and job placements, in addition to the day to day academics. During this time, I earned a master’s degree in Applied Psychology and started a new phase in my work life where I was involved in the assessment and diagnosis of children at a local hospital. In my time there, I received training in various intervention programmes (PECS, Structured Teaching, MISC approach) and helped to initiate various intervention programmes. I was and still am continually looking to improve the lives of the children I work with, which led to my becoming an RDI® Program Certified Consultant.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my daughter. I have been incredibly fortunate to have my parents watch over her when I am at work.
